A trio of Atlanta Hawks Jeremy Lin trades that would send the veteran point guard to South Beach to play for the Heat.
While the Atlanta Hawks have been feistier of late, the team is still in no way, shape or form in contention for the playoffs. Because of this fact, the team and General Manager Travis Schlenk should be shopping any and all players that might impact a contending team – and that starts with the veterans.
Though the team’s best trade asset is Kent Bazemore, he’s been out for a while with a sprained ankle and it will probably be a few more games until he returns. Dewayne Dedmon is definitely a strong trade chip, but the player who might fetch the most from a team is premier trade asset Jeremy Lin – who is putting up one of his best seasons in recent memory.
Jeremy Lin currently has the highest true shooting percentage of his career at a 61.5 percent clip, and his Player Efficiency Rating is the third-highest of his career – behind only the Linsanity year with New York and his first season with the Brooklyn Nets.
It must be noted that Lin has already played more games with the Hawks (37) than he did in either of those seasons with the Knicks (35) or the Nets (36).
Lin has been a consistent contributor as a backup point guard, and as such, he should definitely be included in any trade rumors involving the Hawks.
Let’s explore a few Jeremy Lin to the Miami Heat trades that would serve to benefit both teams.
