John Sterling has another game to call this year – at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

On Sunday, the YES Network announced that the radio voice of the Yankees will handle the televised play-by-play for the Nets’ Dec. 16 home game against the Atlanta Hawks.

“I couldn’t be more excited,” Sterling said in a statement. “I’ve loved basketball all my life. I broadcast so many years in the ABA and NBA. It’s like coming home again.  I’m thrilled.”

Prior to arriving in the Yankees’ booth, Sterling served as a broadcaster for both the Nets and Hawks.

And it was in Atlanta – from 1981-1989 – where his signature player calls originated, beginning with “Dominque is Magnifique!’’ for Hawks’ star Dominique Wilkins.

“An opportunity presented itself and we decided to gauge (Sterling’s) interest,’’ said YES Network president John Filippelli, via statement. “We are both delighted and excited to see John return to the Nets and the NBA.’’

Sterling served as the Nets’ television play-by-play broadcaster from 1975-1980, a period that saw the franchise – led by Julius “Dr. J.’’ Erving – win a second ABA championship and move from New York’s Long Island to New Jersey, following the ABA-NBA merger.

Tip-off of the Dec. 16 game begins at 3 p.m., with Sterling working alongside analyst Sarah Kustok.
